From Maximo Install to orchestrator
Maxinst was born as Maximo Install. In its early years, the company was entirely dedicated to installing and supporting IBM Maximo — and that's where we learned, in practice, the technical rigor a world-class asset management platform demands.

The market matured, and the decision got more complex
Over time, the Brazilian market matured: more major manufacturers began competing for space, Octave among them. That was good news for anyone operating critical assets — more real options to decide which manufacturer to build the journey with.
But deciding well came to require more than mastering a single platform. IBM Maximo and Octave Attune are each, in their own way, top-tier solutions, with features where one is stronger and the other less so, and vice versa. The most fitting solution changes with each client's strategic objectives. There is no “best platform on the market” — there is the best platform for that operation, at that moment.
There's also the goal of complementing the portfolio: each manufacturer opens a different range of possible configurations, and it's up to us to find the combination that best fits each client's specific need.
That's how we stopped being specialists in a single manufacturer and became orchestrators: today we diagnose the operation before recommending any technology, and help the client decide — with data, not house preference.

From the camera to the right system
Orchestrating EAM and APM wasn't the end of that transformation — it was just the start of a habit. We noticed that many incidents on critical assets begin with something a camera sees before any vibration sensor or supervisory system does. That's when Axis Communications entered the orchestration: we developed the ability to embed intelligence directly into cameras, turning video and image into analytics that generate alerts, notifications and, when it makes sense, automatic work orders.
Making that work order come to life on its own, at the right time, required a competency that is now ours by right: systems integration. It doesn't matter whether the data originates in a camera, a sensor or a manual inspection — it needs to reach the right system, in the right format. We orchestrate that flow between the EAM platforms already in operation and the client's own corporate systems, as well as supervisory systems.

Continuity as a habit, not a state
For Maxinst, continuity isn't a fixed state. It's a habit of continuous learning — identifying real gaps in the operation's continuity and orchestrating the right technology to close each one.
That's the foundation of our differentiation today: our revenue model doesn't depend on which platform the client chooses. We diagnose before we sell — and we stay with the chosen manufacturer through the end, with no ambiguity.
